Miranda Lambert Becomes Most Awarded Artist in ACM History
Miranda Lambert has officially made country music history.
At the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards, Lambert became the first artist ever to reach 40 career ACM Awards wins in the organization’s 61-year history.
The country superstar added two more trophies to her legendary career during Sunday night’s ceremony thanks to the hit song “Choosin’ Texas.”
She earned:
- Single of the Year as a producer
- Song of the Year as a co-writer
A Historic Career Unlike Any Other
With the latest victories, Miranda Lambert now holds:
- 40 ACM Awards total — the most ever
- 8 Song of the Year wins — another ACM record
- A tie with Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, and George Strait for the most Single of the Year wins in ACM history.
She now stands ahead of country music legends including:
- George Strait
- Brooks & Dunn
- Garth Brooks
- Reba McEntire
- Dolly Parton
Helping Build the Next Generation
What makes Lambert’s latest achievement even more meaningful is how she earned it.
Instead of winning for one of her own singles, she took home both awards for helping shape the career of rising country star Ella Langley.
Lambert co-wrote and co-produced “Choosin’ Texas,” one of the biggest country songs of the year, helping propel the 27-year-old Alabama artist into country music stardom.
During her speech, Lambert emotionally told the audience:
“I’m just so thankful that Ella trusted me with her art.”
More Than Awards — A Lasting Legacy
After 20 years at the top of country music, Miranda Lambert’s impact now stretches beyond her own career.
Fans and fellow artists say her legacy is no longer just about hit songs and trophies — it’s about mentoring and lifting up the next generation of country stars.
Forty ACM Awards later, Miranda Lambert is still not only making history…
she’s helping create the future of country music itself.
