911 Dispatch Call Reveals New Details About Hayden Panettiere’s Death
New details have emerged surrounding the sudden death of Nashville star Hayden Panettiere, including a 911 dispatch recording that reportedly referenced an apparent overdose.
Panettiere died on August 16 at the age of 36 after she was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina.
911 Call Mentioned A Possible Overdose
According to dispatch audio obtained by Country Rebel, emergency responders were sent to the scene after a call reporting an unresponsive woman in cardiac arrest.
The dispatch recording reportedly included a reference to an “overdose” while CPR was already in progress.
The revelation has raised new questions about what happened before Panettiere’s death.
However, officials have not yet confirmed an overdose as the official cause of death.
Hayden Was Found In Cardiac Arrest
Emergency services responded to the residence shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday.
According to reports, Panettiere was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. Medical personnel performed advanced life support, but she was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office later completed an autopsy.
The examination found no signs of trauma, but officials said the cause and manner of death remain pending further investigation and additional testing.

Narcan Was Reportedly Found At The Scene
Another detail that has emerged is the reported presence of Narcan, a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.
That information, combined with the dispatch reference to a possible overdose, has intensified speculation about the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death.
Still, the presence of Narcan and the dispatch recording do not by themselves establish the official cause of death.
Toxicology Results Could Take Weeks
The investigation is continuing, and officials are waiting for additional studies and toxicology results.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has estimated that the toxicology process could take approximately eight weeks, although results could potentially arrive sooner.
Until those results are available, the official cause and manner of Hayden’s death remain undetermined.
Police have also said there were no initial signs of foul play.
Hayden Panettiere Was Only 36
Panettiere became famous around the world through her roles in Heroes and Nashville.
Country music fans especially knew her as Juliette Barnes, the fictional country star she portrayed on Nashville.
During the series, Hayden performed numerous songs as Juliette, and 11 of those recordings eventually appeared on the real-life Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Her career also included roles in Remember the Titans, Scream 4 and other major productions.
Her Final Years Were Marked By Openness
Earlier this year, Panettiere released her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, in which she spoke openly about addiction, postpartum depression, trauma and the pressures she experienced after becoming famous as a child.
In one of her final interviews, she spoke about having more life ahead of her and her hopes for the future.
Her sudden death has now brought renewed attention to her life, career and the struggles she had publicly discussed.
The Official Cause Has Not Been Determined
For now, the 911 recording provides another piece of information in an ongoing investigation.
The dispatch call reportedly mentioned a possible overdose, while other reports indicate Narcan was found at the scene.
But Hayden Panettiere’s official cause of death has not yet been determined.
Authorities are waiting for toxicology and additional medical findings before reaching a final conclusion.
