Samantha Busch Shares Beautiful Tribute To Late Husband
On Monday (June 8th), Brexton made his return to the track for the first time following his father’s death.
The night before the race, Brexton shared his first post since Kyle’s passing. The series of photos showed him practicing with his neon green #18 Legends car. The small vehicles are designed to replicate old-style 1930s cars at a five-eighths scale, powered by Yamaha motorcycle engines.
Brexton’s uncle and Kyle’s brother, Kurt Busch, was also in attendance to cheer his nephew on.

Just a few days later, Samantha shared a heartbreaking yet beautiful tribute in honor of Kyle after Brexton’s first race back.
“Watching Brexton back at the track is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once because there are moments when I catch a glimpse of Kyle in him, the same determination, the same passion, the same spark, and for a second it feels like a piece of him is still right here with us,” Samantha began.
She explains that while these moments have been “hard,” they are also a reminder that Kyle’s legacy will forever live on. Samantha continues, saying she promised Kyle at the end of his life that she would always help their children “pursue their dreams no matter what.”
“For Brexton, that dream is racing,” she shares. “It wasn’t a dream Kyle chose for him. It was something they shared. They spent countless hours talking about race cars, working together, dreaming together, and building a bond around something they both genuinely loved.”
Samantha says that while a piece of their family will always be missing when they get back to the track, it’s the one place they feel the closest to Kyle, and for that they will “race on.”
