Samantha Shares Her Daughter’s New Morning Routine Without Kyle
Samantha took to her Instagram stories this week to share sweet Lennix’s heartbreaking new morning routine now that Kyle has been gone for over a month.
She says that every morning Lennix wakes up, she immediately wants to have breakfast with her daddy. Sitting in front of two framed pictures of Kyle, Samantha shared Lennix tells him how her “sleep was, what she’s doing today, and asks if he’s having fun in heaven.”
A few days prior, Samantha shared an update on her grief journey, explaining that while she is hurting, she continues on for her children.
“Grief doesn’t stop parenting. The morning still comes. There are questions to answer, tears to wipe away, races to get to, bedtime stories to read, and two kids trying to make sense of a loss that no child should ever have to face,” she wrote.
Samantha explained that while the family continues to navigate the pain of losing Kyle, she refuses to let grief take over the children’s everyday lives. She shared that even during the hardest moments, she wants to help them find moments of joy while keeping Kyle’s memory alive.
“You do everything you can so they can keep being kids and not carry the full weight of all this. As a mom, all you want is for your children to feel safe, loved, and protected, even when your own world has fallen apart.”
