Why Ella Langley Canceled Her Tulsa Concert
Langley’s remarks followed the cancellation of her October 9 concert at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
The singer announced that the decision was made because of a serious security threat involving the safety of her fans, venue staff and touring team.
Tulsa police conducted security checks and later said they had found no credible threat. Nevertheless, the concert was canceled after the situation was reviewed with the venue and Langley’s security team.
Speaking to fans in Lubbock the following night, Langley defended her decision, stressing that a concert was never worth risking a human life.
She also made clear that she did not want the incident to force her to live in fear.
“This Is My Calling,” the Country Star Says
Langley told the crowd that performing music was her calling and that she intended to continue doing what she loves.
Her message combined gratitude, faith and a determination to move forward despite the uncertainty surrounding the previous night’s events.
The singer also spoke about the importance of having people nearby who genuinely care and offer support during difficult moments.
Her words struck a personal note with fans, particularly when she placed her relationship with Jesus Christ at the center of her message.
Ella Langley Continues Her Rise in Country Music
Langley has enjoyed a remarkable year in country music. Her hit song “Choosin’ Texas” made Billboard Hot 100 history by spending 23 weeks at No. 1, surpassing the previous record of 22 weeks.
But during her Lubbock concert, her message was not about chart records or commercial success. Instead, she reminded fans what she considers most important in life: faith, loved ones and the courage to keep moving forward.
Her remarks offered a personal glimpse into the beliefs that help guide her both on and off the stage.
