Kid Rock Releases New Christian Album Halfway 2 Jesus Featuring Eminem
Kid Rock has officially released his highly anticipated Christian album, Halfway 2 Jesus, marking a surprising new chapter in the longtime rocker’s career.
The 17-track album arrived on October 17 and features several unexpected collaborations, including one with longtime friend Eminem.
Kid Rock Takes His Music in a New Direction
Halfway 2 Jesus represents a major shift in Kid Rock’s musical journey.
The album is built around faith, forgiveness, redemption and his relationship with Christianity. Kid Rock has previously explained that he felt called to make the project after searching for Christian music that matched the style and energy he wanted to hear.
The project includes songs such as “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),” “Water Into Wine,” “Me And Jesus,” “God Is Good” and “God Bless The USA.”
The album also includes his recent Christian version of Cody Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t,” which previously reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.

Eminem Makes a Surprising Appearance
One of the biggest talking points surrounding the album is Eminem’s appearance.
The two longtime friends reunite on “Heal My Faith,” a collaboration that carries an even deeper message because of their different political views.
Eminem’s contribution focuses on their longtime friendship and the idea that people can remain close even when they disagree.
Kid Rock has described Eminem as an old friend and said their collaboration is meant to show that people with different backgrounds and beliefs can still come together through music. Eminem has also described the collaboration as making music with an old friend rather than choosing political sides.
Gary LeVox and Jimmie Allen Also Join the Album
Eminem is not the only surprising guest on Halfway 2 Jesus.
Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts and country singer Jimmie Allen appear together on the album’s title track, “Halfway 2 Jesus.”
The combination of rock, country, hip-hop and Christian themes gives the album a sound that is very different from much of Kid Rock’s earlier work.
A Personal Chapter for Kid Rock
The new album follows a period in which Kid Rock has spoken more openly about his faith and personal journey.
His first major step into this new direction came with “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),” a song inspired by the Bible verse James 1:17. Kid Rock said the song came to him during the night and eventually became the starting point for the larger project.
The album now gives fans the opportunity to hear the full story behind that musical transformation.
For an artist who has spent decades moving between rock, country, hip-hop and pop, Halfway 2 Jesus may be one of the most unexpected chapters of Kid Rock’s career.
And with Eminem, Gary LeVox and Jimmie Allen all appearing on the project, the album is already attracting attention well beyond the Christian music world.
