Alan Jackson Announces The End of His Legendary Career
Alan Jackson has built one of the most remarkable careers in country music history, earning his place as one of the genre’s most influential and beloved artists.

Fans were heartbroken in 2021 when Jackson revealed he had been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), an incurable degenerative nerve disorder that affects the peripheral nerves. In an interview with TODAY, Jackson explained that the condition impacts his balance while performing and leaves him feeling generally “uncomfortable” at times.
Following the diagnosis, Jackson announced his multi-year “Last Call: One More for the Road” farewell tour. The tour concluded with his final performance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 17, 2025, marking the end of an unforgettable chapter in country music.

“The Finale” Sells Out Immediately
His final show, ever, was later announced to take place on June 27th at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
Alongside Alan Jackson himself, the emotional farewell event featured an all-star lineup of country music’s biggest names coming together to celebrate his legendary career. Fans at the sold-out concert were treated to special performances from George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Carrie Underwood, Riley Green, and many more.
Primary tickets for “The Finale” sold out almost instantly after going on sale in October 2025, with reports indicating that all approximately 55,000 seats were claimed during the presale alone. The incredible response showed just how much Jackson’s music continues to mean to fans around the world.

70,000 People Remember 9/11 During Jackson’s Farewell Show
“Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” was released by Jackson in 2001 following the September 11 attacks. He wrote the song after being asked how he felt about the tragedy, capturing the emotions many Americans shared that day.
Over the years, the song has become one of Jackson’s most iconic and meaningful hits. His performance of the track during his farewell concert became one of the most memorable moments of the night.
The entire stadium was glowing with cell phone lights as Jackson led the crowd through the powerful song. A total of 2,977 people were killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. The tragedy remains one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in modern history.
