What Is The Madison?
After years of wondering what was happening with The Madison, the show has finally revealed its premiere date.
The Madison is a Yellowstone spin-off that follows Stacy Clyburn (Michelle Pfeiffer) as she moves from New York City to Montana following a family tragedy. Variety says the show “[is a] heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
We first heard rumors about The Madison in August 2024, and Michelle Pfeiffer officially confirmed her involvement later that month.
Since then, additional announcements have revealed the series’ stacked cast, which includes Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, and Matthew Fox.
Beyond that, details about The Madison were scarce for a long time. That’s why it came as a huge surprise when one of the show’s stars, Elle Champman, shared in December 2025 that they finished filming the second season (before Season 1 had even premiered).
The Madison Drops Its First Official Trailer
Shortly after Chapman shared that post, Paramount provided a first look at The Madison in a brief clip that aired during the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
The clip shows Pfeiffer petting a horse in the middle of a sunny field. This footage also teased that the series would premiere on Paramount+ “soon.”
The teaser was part of a larger announcement video highlighting some of the programs coming to Paramount+ in 2026, including the Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler series Dutton Ranch.
Little did we know that when Paramount said The Madison would premiere “soon,” they truly meant it!
On January 18, Paramount released the first official trailer for The Madison. The 30-second clip carries an emotional tone, with Pfeiffer’s character Stacy Clyburn telling a therapist, “My center, my soul is gone.”
The therapist is played by a new addition to the cast, Arrested Development star Will Arnett. He tells Stacy, “You will heal, if you let yourself.”
A subsequent clip makes it clear that Kurt Russell plays Stacy’s husband. We later hear Stacy say, “I’ve decided to feed this,” while tapping her chest, referring to her heart, before gesturing to her head and saying, “and never factor this into the equation.”
Paramount told PEOPLE that The Madison is “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.” The network also described the series as show creator Taylor Sheridan’s “most intimate work to date.”

The end of the newly released trailer for The Madison finally revealed the show’s premiere date…which is surprisingly soon!
Mark your calendars: The Madison will be available to stream on Paramount+ starting Saturday, March 14. PEOPLE reports the first season will contain six episodes.
The premiere date falls just two weeks after another Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, will debut on CBS. That series will follow Kayce Dutton as he carves out a new path in life following the events of the Yellowstone finale.
It remains unclear how The Madison connects to the larger Yellowstone universe.
