Kyle Busch Left Behind A Beautiful Wife And Family
NASCAR champion Kyle Busch died on Thursday (May 21) following a “severe illness” and hospitalization, leaving behind two children and a wife. His death was confirmed by a joint statement from NASCAR, Richard Childress Racing, and his family.
“Our entire NASCAR family is heartbroken by the loss of Kyle Busch. A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who comes along once in a generation,” the statement began.
The statement continued, discussing the legacy Busch left behind and included his entire family, including his parents, his brother, fellow NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, his wife, and his children. See the full statement below.
He was beloved by many, adored by all, and loved by his family. Meet the family he left behind below.
Samantha Busch
In 2007, when she was Samantha Sarcinella, she worked as a promo model. Chevy sent her to the Indy 500, and she and Kyle had a meet-cute, but she had no idea who he was. She detailed their first meeting in a 2023 Instagram post.
“The promo model agency I worked for sent me down to Indianapolis to work for Chevy, getting people hyped up for the races,” she wrote. “I was going into my senior year of college at Purdue at the time, a sorority girl, and no big surprise, not the sportiest of types. So I can honestly say it was my first time at a race track!”
She said her job was to get people to take rides in the Chevy Impala, but it was insanely hot, so when a woman asked if she wanted to go for a ride in a truck, she jumped at the chance to sit in the air conditioning. Turns out, the woman was Busch’s PR person, and the driver of the truck was Kyle himself.
They were married on December 31, 2010, at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. Their wedding was turned into a one-hour television special titled Fast and the Fabulous: A NASCAR Wedding.
Along with being a NASCAR wife, Samantha became a lifestyle blogger, which turned into being an influencer. She also uses her platform to be an advocate for infertility and IVF. Fans got to know her a little bit during the CMT reality show Racing Wives, which ran for one season.
According to her website, her bio reads, “Samantha Busch is a wife, mother, author, entrepreneur, lifestyle blogger, IVF advocate, philanthropist, and [former] co-owner of a professional race team. As a successful ‘boss babe,’ Samantha is driven to empower women of all ages and backgrounds to live their best lives with confidence and poise.”
Busch also runs the business Shop Samantha Busch, a site she curates and sells racing-inspired women’s clothing, and launched the foundation, Bundle of Joy Fund, to help families access IVF.
They welcomed a son in 2015, and after being incredibly vocal about their fertility and IVF struggles, they welcomed their daughter in 2022. Meet them below.
Brexton Locke Busch – Born May 18, 2015
Brexton is already following in his dad’s footsteps, having started racing more than three years ago! In an Instagram post in 2023, Samantha congratulated Brexton on winning a race.
“Congrats Brexton we are so proud of you! For being so young you put in so much effort watching film, testing, asking questions… and it’s paid off! We love to watch you accomplish your dreams!” she wrote.
Kyle and Samantha were incredibly open and vulnerable with their fans about their struggles with infertility and IVF. They had an unsuccessful pregnancy attempt via embryo transfer and a miscarriage. Ultimately, Lennix was born via surrogate.
She recently turned four, and the family celebrated with a cute party. Check out photos from the event below.
