“Heaven Ushered In A Hero Of The Faith” – Tim Tebow’s Beloved Father, Bob, Has Died
Tim Tebow’s father, Robert “Bob” Ramsey Tebow II, has passed away.
Tim shared the heartbreaking news about his father’s death on Friday, April 24. He said that Bob passed away the previous night (on April 23).
“Heaven ushered in a hero of the faith last night as my Dad was welcomed home!” Tim wrote in a post he shared on social media.
The former NFL star and devoted Christian added, “Many will say sorry for your loss but the truth is he’s not lost, we know exactly where he is. He’s home. Forever!”

The official website for Bob’s foundation, The Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association, details how he and Tim’s mother, Pam, fell in love while attending the University of Florida. Then, in 1985, they moved to the Philippines “with a vision to share the Gospel with every man, woman, and child.”
Tim was born in the Philippines, and he eventually attended his parents’ alma mater, UF, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2007.
Bob shared in 2016 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. However, he vowed not to let the diagnosis keep him from carrying out his mission work.
“I’m not going to retire from the Great Commission to spread the gospel,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “I may be slower, and I may shake on the way, but I still have work to do.”
