On Sunday (January 25), the Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams and secured their spot in the 2026 Super Bowl. This year’s big game is set to be held on Sunday, February 8 in Santa Clara, California.
The Seahawks have only taken home one Super Bowl win, dominating the Denver Broncos in 2013. This will mark their fourth time competing in football’s biggest competition.
Seattle has witnessed one of its most successful seasons in franchise history this year. The team has had an incredible postseason, beating the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round followed by Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.
Seahawks’ Wide Receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba Calls The Defeat “A Dream Come True”
The Seahawks’ Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the NFL in receiving yards in 2025, finishing the regular season with 119 receptions for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns. He admitted that the big win Sunday was the honor of a lifetime.
“It’s a dream come true, honestly,” Smith-Njigba said. “Just all the work that we put in during the offseason and the summer, throughout this season, all the people, the doubters, the naysayers — it feels awesome to have a group, to have a collective that, like I said, just plays for the guy next to him. I’m honored to be a part of that.”
Grinning from ear to ear, the wide receiver shared that he was “feeling great” following the game. He explained that the victory was a team effort, and praised his fellow teammates for their performance.

Smith Njigba Gives All “Glory To God”
During a sideline interview with sports reporter Erin Andrews following the game on Sunday, Smith-Njigba gave all “glory to God” for the win.
“I just want to give all glory to God,” the wide receiver told Andrews, when asked what he was thinking. “Without Him, I’m nothing.”
Smith-Njigba frequently posts “AGTGOD,” an acronym standing for “All Glory To God,” on social media, including in his bio on Instagram. He has remained outspoken about his faith, saying his “ultimate” purpose is to share his belief in Jesus Christ.
“I just want to have my hand in this community and build it and share my testimony and my faith in God,” Smith-Njigba said on a recent episode of “The Reset” podcast. “Just be on the highest stage and praise his name, because that’s what I feel I’m ultimately here to do.”
