Freedom 250 Celebrations Take Place Across The Nation
Freedom 250 is a non-partisan initiative celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence on July 4, 2026. The movement connects federal, state, and local efforts to foster a “Golden Age of Opportunity.”
Freedom 250 is working alongside the White House Task Force 250 to coordinate a nationwide year of festivities which began on Memorial Day 2025. The initiative aims to honor U.S. history, innovation, and the enduring ideals of freedom, according to its website.
As part of the celebration, a number of historic events are taking place at the White House and throughout the nation’s capital.

UFC Fight To Take Place Sunday June 14
One of the most highly anticipated events comes this Sunday (June 14), as a UFC fight will take place right on the White House lawn.
According to the Trump administration, it is a coincidence that the fight will be held on June 14, which is observed annually as Flag Day and will also mark the 80th birthday of President Donald Trump.
While a lawsuit threatened to stop the event, plans for the UFC Freedom 250 fight are moving forward, undeterred, after the lawsuit was rejected by a judge

Motocross Comes To The White House
On Saturday (June 13), just one day before the big fight, six motocross stars performed their own tricks on the South Lawn of the White House.
As part of UFC Freedom 250 weekend, the historic venue was transformed as the Nitro Circus stunt showcase brought together a rare lineup of action sports legends.
Leading the lineup was Travis Pastrana, joined by motocross and freestyle icons Ricky Carmichael, Brian Deegan, Keith Sayers, Jeremy Stenberg, and Jeremy McGrath.
The team rolled in specialized steel ramps on the South Lawn, allowing riders to land not on grass or dirt, but on large, heavy-duty freestyle airbag landing systems designed to absorb impact and protect the grounds.
