Kid Rock Launches Rock The Country Music Festival
Kid Rock launched the first Rock the Country festival in 2024, beginning as a smaller event that stopped in just seven towns. Performers at the festival included Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson, and others.
After the first tour, Kid Rock announced on X that Rock the Country would return, this time even bigger.
“Rock The Country is more than a festival; it’s a movement, a gathering of hardworking, God-fearing patriots who love America and believe in the power of live music to bring people together. Here, the beer flows, the love pours, and the music rains down like a monsoon,” the singer wrote on X.
In 2025, the two-day country music festival expanded to ten small towns across the United States and featured live performances from a variety of country stars.

South Carolina’s Festival Stop Canceled
The event was such a success, on January 12, Rock The Country’s Facebook page announced a brand new lineup for the 2026 tour. One of those stops being Anderson, South Carolina.
The lineup included headliners Kid Rock and Jason Aldean and also featured Creed, Shinedown, Brantley Gilbert, Ludacris, Gretchen Wilson, Parmalee, Morgan Wade, Chase Matthew, Lakeview, Fox N’ Vead, and more. However, on Friday (February 6), Shinedown posted on X that they made the decision to back out of their festival date.

Days after Shinedown pulled out of the festival, the South Carolina show was reportedly canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to Fox Carolina.
“Anderson County has been proud to host Rock the Country for the past two years,” the Anderson County administrator, Rusty Burns, said in a statement to Fox Carolina. “The event was a huge success drawing tens of thousands of visitors, making a multimillion-dollar economic impact on the Upstate. An event of this caliber proved what a great venue and exceptional hospitality we have here in Anderson County. Of course, we are disappointed that Rock the Country will not return to Anderson this year.”

Rock The Country Releases Statement
On Monday (February 9), Rock the Country released a statement addressing the cancellation.
“Rock the Country was created to unite people together through music. Our lineups and our crowds reflect that sentiment — a wide range of voices, backgrounds, and stories that make up this country.”
Event organizers explained that despite canceling this stop, they remain committed to delivering memorable events on the remaining dates.
“Our focus remains where it’s always been: Supporting our artists, honoring our fans, and delivering unforgettable nights throughout the country. The shows ahead represent the heart of what Rock the Country stands for: music, community, and pride in where we come from.”
