Music Legend Ozzy Osbourne Dies At 76
Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman and one of the most iconic voices in rock history, died on July 22, 2025. His family announced his passing in a public statement at the time.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the statement read.
The news of his death came just weeks after his farewell show. During the performance, he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, the rock singers health had been a growing concern in recent years. Ozzy was 76 at the time of his death.
He was laid to rest at his home in Buckinghamshire, England on August 1st, the day after a public funeral procession.

After the news of his passing, many friends, former bandmates, and artists who were inspired by Ozzy’s legendary career shared touching tributes, honoring his incredible impact and lifelong dedication to music.
Jelly Roll also shared a short, but heartfelt tribute in honor of Ozzy Osbourne. The singer shared a photo of him with Ozzy and a group of people saying he was “forever grateful” for the music icon.
Ozzy Honored At The 2026 Grammy Awards
The 68th Grammy Awards took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 1). One of the night’s most emotional moments was a special tribute honoring Ozzy and his legacy in rock music.
The Osbourne family stepped out together on the red carpet before the big ceremony, and Ozzy’s daughter, Kelly, said the tribute meant more than words could express.
“To see his peers and this community cherish him in such a way, and in a way that he deserves. It’ll be very emotional,” Kelly explained.
Speaking about the death of her father, Kelly shared it has been” the hardest thing” she has ever been through in her entire life.
The performance, featuring Post Malone, Guns N’ Roses Slash and Duff McKagan, the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, and Ozzy’s producer and collaborator Andrew Watt, featured a powerful combination of the singer’s biggest hits.
Perhaps what made the night especially memorable was that most of the singers had contributed to Ozzy’s final two albums, Ordinary Man and Patient Number 9.
With a backdrop of Ozzy and flames bursting from the stage, Posty performed an epic rendition of “War Pigs” with Slash and Smith. The Osbourne family watched from the audience with tears in their eyes.
