Scotty McCreery Releases New Christmas Song “King Size Bed” Celebrating the Birth of Jesus
Scotty McCreery is bringing a special message to the Christmas season with his brand-new song, “King Size Bed.”
The country singer released the holiday track on October 30, giving fans a new Christmas song with a deeper meaning. Instead of focusing on presents, decorations, or winter traditions, the song celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.
McCreery has always had a special place in his heart for Christmas music. However, this latest release carries a message that is especially meaningful to him.
Scotty McCreery Celebrates the True Meaning of Christmas
“King Size Bed” is a heartfelt ballad inspired by the Nativity story.
The song uses the image of a humble manger to tell the story of the night Jesus was born. Its title creates a memorable contrast between the simple place where the baby Jesus was laid and the extraordinary meaning of His arrival.
The track begins with a gentle acoustic guitar before McCreery’s recognizable country voice carries the story forward. A rich string arrangement adds warmth and emotion to the recording.
McCreery explained that he wanted the song to celebrate the true reason for the season: the birth of Jesus Christ.
For the singer, Christmas music is not something reserved for December. He has shared that he enjoys singing holiday songs throughout the year.
Seven Songwriters Helped Create “King Size Bed”
McCreery co-wrote “King Size Bed” with Brent Anderson, Jeremy Bussey, Monty Criswell, Derek George, Bobby Hamrick, and Frank Rogers.
Rogers also produced the track, bringing together a group of familiar Nashville songwriters for the new holiday release.
The result is a string-filled country ballad that combines traditional Christmas themes with McCreery’s warm vocal style.

Scotty McCreery Has a Long History With Christmas Music
This is not McCreery’s first Christmas release.
Back in 2012, he released Christmas With Scotty McCreery, an album featuring 11 songs. The collection included two original tracks, “Christmas in Heaven” and “Christmas Comin’ Round Again,” alongside holiday classics such as “O Holy Night,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Holly Jolly Christmas.”
The album reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
In more recent years, McCreery has continued adding to his holiday catalog with songs including “Feel Like the Holidays” and “White Christmas.”
“King Size Bed” now gives fans another original Christmas song to enjoy during the holiday season.
A Special Year for the Country Singer
The new Christmas release arrives during an important year in McCreery’s career.
In 2026, he celebrated 15 years as a recording artist with the release of his retrospective album 15. The collection features nine of his established hits and four new recordings.
It also includes “Your Man” featuring Josh Turner and “Bottle Rockets” featuring Hootie & The Blowfish.
McCreery is also scheduled to headline a December 3 performance at Nashville’s The Truth, marking his first headlining show in the city since 2020.
With “King Size Bed,” the country star is adding another meaningful song to his musical catalog.
For listeners looking for Christmas music that celebrates faith and the Nativity, McCreery’s latest release offers a heartfelt reminder of what the holiday represents.
