Who Will Headline The Super Bowl Halftime Show In 2027? The Odds Point To A Specific Country Star…

Super Bowl LX’s Halftime Show Prompted A Lot Of Discussion And An Alternative Option

Super Bowl LX just ended, but people are already wondering who will headline the halftime show in 2027.

This year’s halftime show featured Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny as the headliner. The NFL faced serious backlash over the decision. Those displeased with the choice took issue with Bad Bunny’s past statements against ICE and with the fact that his songs are in Spanish.

The backlash prompted extensive discussion and debate in the months leading up to “The Big Game.” It also led to the creation of an alternative halftime show by Turning Point USA, the organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk.

The All-American Halftime Show, which also aired on Super Bowl Sunday, featured Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.

The chatter surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show hasn’t simmered down quite yet. Plus, people are already predicting who will headline the show in 2027.

The Odds Say A Country Artist Will Headline The Super Bowl Halftime Show In 2027

Country music fans will be intrigued by some of the betting odds associated with the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show.

Shania Twain was the last country artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. She performed alongside No Doubt and Sting in 2003. Prior to that, an all-country halftime show occurred in 1994, featuring The Judds, Clint Black, Travis Tritt, and Tanya Tucker.

You could say country music is long overdue for some representation at the Super Bowl. Thankfully, the odds are in favor of that happening in 2027.

According to newly released odds from FanDuel, a country artist has the highest odds of headlining the show next year, and that country artist is…Morgan Wallen.

Although he’s primarily known as a country artist, Wallen has serious crossover appeal, which could make him a popular choice as a halftime performer. He was named as Billboard‘s 8th Greatest Pop Star of 2025. His songs and albums often cross over to place on the all-genre charts.

Of course, the odds don’t guarantee that Wallen will headline the Super Bowl halftime show in 2027. Additionally, we won’t know for several months if the odds will pan out. The halftime performer is typically announced in the fall.

If Wallen does headline the halftime show, he already has a famous fan supporting that decision. During the Grammys in early February, Jelly Roll told reporters his “dream” halftime show lineup includes country artists such as Wallen, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, and Lainey Wilson.
