Watch As The Little Girls Sing Along With The Hit Country Song
For nine nonconsecutive weeks now, Ella Langley‘s “Choosin’ Texas” has been No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
As of the week beginning on May 10, the song — which is from Langley’s second studio album, Dandelion — is one of three songs that Langley has in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 all at once, including “Be Her” at No. 2; and “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” with Morgan Wallen, at No. 8.
With that accomplishment on the charts, the song was certified Platinum by the RIAA back.
Needless to say, it’s on the radio and getting streamed, but there’s a demographic of music enthusiasts that don’t get a lot of attention: kids under the age of five.
They hear songs while in the backseat of the car on the way to the grocery store or the park, and they know what’s catchy when they hear it.
At a recent pre-school talent show, three little girls donned cowgirl boots, denim, and matching Ella Langley T-shirts as they sang “Choosin’ Texas.”
While it’s not clear who won the talent show, the video, shared to TikTok by one of the girls’ mothers, has won over an audience that few talent shows for any age group do, amassing over two million views.
In the video, the girls can be seen giggling to themselves at the beginning and end of their performance, proudly looking out to an audience filled with their peers and family members. At one point, one of the girls even gives a wave to someone in the audience.
