Thomas Rhett’s sister-in-law, Macy Page, is officially done with chemotherapy.
Page, 33, said it was “the happiest day,” as she shared a glimpse of her last day of chemotherapy and the moment she rang the bell at the hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Page wrote in her caption on Instagram over the weekend: “I’m officially D O N E with chemo!!!!! 🥳 those words feel so surreal to say. I know the road ahead is long with surgery & more than likely radiation, but I have so much peace knowing the Lord has gone before me. And I’m not gonna lie, this portion felt huge. The biggest physical hurdle complete. 16 rounds of chemotherapy over 24 weeks, never once delayed by the grace of God all because Jesus (along with my family & friends) literally carried me through 😭
“All of this to say, I’m SO grateful,” she continued. “Like beyond grateful for this experience thus far. Cancer has completely changed me and has forced me to rely on God with every ounce of my being. I FEEL the Holy Spirit tangibly and it’s a feeling I just can’t describe, and one I want EVERYONE to experience. It gets me so. fired. up. 👏🏻 what’s amazing is Jesus is there for the valleys AND the mountaintops. He’s there for you right now, right where you are. Whether you’re thriving in life or feel like it’s crumbling down around you, He’s ready to walk with you no matter the circumstance. And one thing I can tell you from experience is that the valley can be just as sweet as the mountaintop when you look to Jesus & have the hope of heaven. But the Lord knows the valleys are the hardest, and that’s why He doesn’t make us walk them alone—thank you God for that 🤍”
Rhett spotlighted Page and the milestone in her journey during his recent co-headlining show with Niall Horan at GEODIS Park in Nashville. Page, sister to Rhett’s wife Lauren Akins, first opened up about her diagnosis earlier this year. She said at the time, in part, that “it definitely came as a shock and rocked our world a bit, but let me tell you something—God has a plan, and this is HIS story. …He is carrying me through this and is fighting for me! And the prayers & support I’ve gotten from my family, friends, friends of friends and so on is just ABUNDANT. …I love all of you, and to my ladies—check. your. girls.” Shortly after Page opened up about her cancer diagnosis, Akins, who was pregnant with Baby No. 5, said she was “carrying so much joy and anticipation as well as carrying a lot of heavy and sadness in this season.” She thanked everyone “for all the prayers and support for my sister.” Page and her husband, Tyler Page, will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in October 2026. Page is a mother of two. See her post
