The Voice is getting its biggest makeover since the show first premiered.
According to Country Rebel, Season 31, set to debut in 2027, will feature a brand-new host, a completely refreshed coaching panel, and an entirely new competition format that promises to change the series like never before.
Carson Daly Steps Aside After 30 Seasons
For the first time in the show’s history, longtime host Carson Daly will no longer serve as host.
After leading 30 consecutive seasons, Daly is stepping away from the spotlight, although he’ll remain involved behind the scenes as a producer.
Taking over hosting duties is Keke Palmer, the Emmy-winning television personality known for hosting Password and for her energetic on-screen presence. The announcement came after Palmer playfully confirmed the news in a social media video that quickly went viral.

A New Coaching Lineup
Season 31 will also introduce a different coaching panel.
Queen Latifah and Riley Green will return after making their coaching debuts in Season 30, while Joe Jonas joins the panel as the newest coach.
In another major change, the show will feature three coaches instead of the traditional four, marking another significant shift in the competition’s format.
The Show Gets A Brand-New Identity
Perhaps the biggest surprise is that the series is also getting a new name.
Season 31 will officially be called The Voice: Celebrity, with the competition featuring celebrities instead of everyday contestants.
The cast will include actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television personalities, all stepping outside their comfort zones to compete for the title.
New Segments Added
The revamped format will also introduce several new behind-the-scenes features, including:
- Voice Boot Camp, where viewers will see how contestants prepare before the Blind Auditions.
- VIP Room, where celebrity contestants watch performances and react together.
- Workroom, where contestants rehearse, plan strategies, and prepare for the Battle Rounds.

With a new host, a new coaching lineup, celebrity contestants, and multiple new features, Season 31 promises to be one of the most dramatic reinventions in the history of The Voice.
