One of the most touching moments from Alan Jackson‘s final concert didn’t happen onstage.
Over the past weekend, on June 27, Alan Jackson’s final touring concert, dubbed Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, saw several major country artists descend upon Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, to honor the country star with performances.
However, seated in the audience was Randy Travis, who could be seen in a video posted to social media as he sang along with a song he co-wrote with Jackson.

During Alan Jackson’s June 27 Last Call concert at Nissan Stadium, artists like Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Riley Green, and even George Strait celebrated the career of Jackson through song.
Before Jackson took the stage, Jon Pardi performed “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues).”
The song was co-written by Randy Travis and Alan Jackson, and recorded by Jackson in 1992 as part of his iconic third studio album, A Lot About Livin’ (And A Little ‘Bout Love).
Seated in a box seat at Nissan Stadium, Randy Travis was captured on video moving to the beat and singing along with Jon Pardi’s performance of the song he co-wrote 34 years ago.

@randy.travisWhat a night at Alan’s final concert! Alan & I wrote “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues)” in 1991 together on my tour bus in Columbus, Ohio! We initially intended to pitch the track to blues legend B.B. King. But, Alan decided to record it as a massive 1990s country hit and I’m sure glad he did!!!!♬ original sound – Randy Travis
Throughout the evening at Jackson’s Last Call, several country artists expressed their gratitude and congratulations to Jackson for the career he’s led.
Among them was Randy Travis, joined by his wife, Mary Davis Travis.
Speaking for Randy, Mary said:
“Alan, you were like a mighty river, carving your own path, creating your own way, and you came and will remain forever a mighty force. Thank you, Alan, for the music, the magic, the memories, and the friendship. Though they call this the final farewell concert, your presence and your voice will remain with all of us forever and ever.”
Then, Randy chimed in, completing the “Forever and Ever, Amen” lyric, singing to the crowd’s delight, “Amen.”
