Lee Brice Performed At Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show”
Country singer Lee Brice was one of the four singers who were chosen to perform at Turning Point USA’s alternate Super Bowl halftime show, which was titled The All-American Halftime Show.
The other performers were Kid Rock, Gabby Barrett, and Brantley Gilbert.

Of the halftime show, Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said, “The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom. We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”
The company chose to provide their fans with an alternate halftime show after it was announced that Puerto Rican singer/rapper Bad Bunny was announced as the official Super Bowl halftime performer.
First to perform was Brantley Gilbert, who was wearing a t-shirt that read, “God. Family. Country.” He performed two songs: Real American,” and “Dirt Road Anthem,” a song he wrote with Colt Ford and Jason Aldean.
Next was Gabby Barrett with “I Hope” and “Good Ones,” followed by Lee Brice, who performed “Drinking Class” and his 2012 hit “Hard To Love.” He also debuted a brand-new song “Country Nowadays.”
Kid Rock closed out the show with a surprise cover of Cody Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t” with an added verse. He released the song and it reached #1 on the Christian chart.

After “Fan Demand,” Lee Brice Releases “Country Nowadays”
In a press release, Lee Brice revealed that he is releasing a recorded version of his new song “Country Nowadays” in response to “fan demand.”

He began teasing the song just two days after his performance and set the release date for Friday, February 20th.
In the press release, it states he wrote the song with Matt Alderman and Nate Kenyon about “the current state of America.” The release continues, “In a volatile climate where discourse is sometimes equated with hate, the award-winning artist voices his beliefs, rooted in small-town values and morals.”
“Country Nowadays” will be included on Brice’s just-announced album Sunriser.
