Kid Rock Reveals Why Eminem Joined His New Christian Album
Kid Rock is opening up about an unexpected collaboration with longtime friend Eminem on his new Christian album, Halfway 2 Jesus.
In an interview with Lara Trump on Fox News’ My View, the Detroit-born musician explained why he wanted Eminem to be part of the project. Despite their political differences, the two artists have maintained their friendship over the years.
Kid Rock Says Politics Never Came Between Them
Kid Rock said he and Eminem agreed long ago that politics should not divide their friendship.
When he asked Eminem to join the album, the rapper understood the message behind the collaboration, Kid Rock explained.
The singer hopes their relationship can set an example for people who disagree on political issues but still want to remain friends.
He also praised Eminem, describing him as a class act. Kid Rock said people should be free to express different opinions without allowing those differences to destroy personal relationships.
What Is Kid Rock’s New Christian Album About?
Halfway 2 Jesus focuses on faith, forgiveness and second chances. Kid Rock explained that his relationship with God is not new, despite the album’s strong Christian themes.
He said a renewed focus on faith following the assassination of Charlie Kirk inspired a period of songwriting that helped shape the record.
Kid Rock also rejected the idea that he had suddenly become religious. He explained that faith has been part of his life for a long time.
The album is intended to bring people together and encourage them to look beyond their differences.
Kid Rock Wants to Bring Christian Music to Arenas
Kid Rock also shared plans for a different kind of live performance. He hopes to bring Christian music to arenas and stadiums through shows that combine the energy of a rock concert with the atmosphere of a religious revival.
He described the idea as a full-scale rock show where people can enjoy themselves while celebrating their faith.
The singer said he wanted to create songs he would personally enjoy hearing in church. He hopes the project can have a positive impact and help heal divisions across the country.
A Surprising Reunion Between Two Detroit Artists
Kid Rock and Eminem have known each other for decades, and their latest collaboration brings their musical connection into a new setting.
Their political differences have often placed them on opposite sides of public debates. However, Kid Rock says their friendship has remained intact.
With Halfway 2 Jesus, he hopes to send a message about forgiveness, faith and the importance of maintaining relationships even when people do not agree.
