Kacey Musgraves Releases New Music Video For Her Steamy Hit, “Mexico Honey”
Country music star Kacey Musgraves has released the official music video for her sultry new track, “Mexico Honey.” The song has gained major attention from fans and became a breakout favorite off Musgraves’ newest album, Middle of Nowhere, which was released in April.
The album serves as the follow-up to her 2024 record Deeper Well. The project includes collaborations with several major artists including Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert.

The music video follows Musgraves through a whirlwind love story, capturing the dreamy and carefree spirit of the song. The opening scene features the title written in pink cursive before cutting to a close-up of the singer as she delivers the opening lyrics: “I’m in a bad girl good mood, wearing my gold hoops…”
As the song unfolds, Musgraves is joined by a mysterious cowboy, who wraps his arm around her as they ride together in a car. Their chemistry becomes the heart of the video, giving the story a playful feel.

The video then shifts between a neon-green karaoke room and a telenovela-inspired love story. Just before the second chorus, the video cuts to a playful scene of Musgraves holding a colorful parrot, baring all.
She later appears in a rainforest as she walks through the water with a yellow boa constrictor draped across her shoulders. Throughout the video, the song shares message about falling so deeply in love with a place, and a person, that leaving feels impossible.
