Jelly Roll Is On A Mission To Transform His Physical Health
In late 2022, Jelly Roll had reached a weight of roughly 540lbs when he decided it was time to change. Like most of the challenges in his life, the Nashville native has promised to share the experience publicly with his fans.
During an episode of his wife’s Dumb Blonde podcast, he shared:
“I wanna have one of the biggest transformations. I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people.”
While Jelly Roll has not shared his specific goal weight, he says he has “a number in mind.” He elaborated on this during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year:
“To do all the fun stuff in life, you got to be under 250. So my goal is to skydive, ride a roller coaster, ride a bull, wrestle an alligator, and more. I have a list of things that I want to do.”
Determined to lose weight without any shortcuts, the 40-year-old has made lifestyle changes, including adopting new fitness and nutrition regimens, to get healthy. Now, he has lost nearly 250lbs!

April 2023: Performs at the CMT Music Awards.
January 2024: Partners with fitness trainer and biologist Gary Brecka for the ambitious goal of losing 250lbs in 12-14 months.
May 2024: Runs his first-ever 5k race after losing 70lbs.
October 2024: Reaches the milestone of 100lbs lost.
December 2024: Confirms he is down 120lbs, reveals goal to be on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine.
April 2025: Weighs in at 357lbs, down nearly 200lbs.
May 2025: Reaches 340lbs and returns to run the same 5k race.
July 2025: Reveals that by August, he will weigh less than 300lbs for the first time since middle school.
August 2025: Competes against Logan Paul in WWE SummerSlam.
September 2025: Jokes, “Pray for my bank account,” as he has reached a size small enough to wear designer clothing.
November 2025: Shows off new clean-shaven look.
