Jelly Roll is in celebration mode right now, as his daughter, Bailee Ann, recently turned 18 and graduated from high school.
Bailee was born in 2008, while Jelly Roll was incarcerated. After he got out of prison, he was determined to develop a relationship with his daughter.
Jelly’s now-wife, Bunnie Xo, stepped up to help him get full custody of Bailee. As Jelly shared during a 2023 appearance on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Bunnie “bankrolled” everything so he could have the means to care for Bailee.

Jelly’s now-wife, Bunnie Xo, stepped up to help him get full custody of Bailee. As Jelly shared during a 2023 appearance on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Bunnie “bankrolled” everything so he could have the means to care for Bailee.
“She said, ‘No matter what happens with us, I’m gonna help you get this little girl,” Jelly recalled.
Bunnie and Jelly married in 2016 and eventually gained full custody of Bailee. Jelly also has a younger son, named Noah, from another relationship.

So, when Bailee celebrated her 18th birthday and graduated from high school around the same time, Jelly Roll burst with pride for his daughter.
The singer poured his heart out in an emotional note he shared on Thursday (May 28). He opened by sharing a sweet story about a moment when Bailee’s creativity became clear to him. She pretended the path to their back door was a dangerous river they had to cross, and let her imagination run wild.
“Little did I know in that moment, your imagination was opening mine and that you were fixing to be the biggest impact on my life and the biggest part of my journey ever…” Jelly Roll wrote.
Jelly highlighted how “very few people” in their family, himself included, ever graduated from high school. The fact that Bailee did so, and now plans to attend college, leaves him overwhelmed with joy.
“When we talk about generational curses and breaking them, you literally are the epitome of that,” he said. “You are kind, smart, caring, loving, adventurous, funny, sassy, honest. To put it plainly you were everything I have never been…“
He added, “Some people were born to walk. Some people were born to run, but very few were born to fly… New Bailee Ann were born to FLY!“

What Does Jelly Roll’s Daughter Bailee Ann Have Planned After Graduation?
Although Bailee has done a little singing over the years, she doesn’t plan to pursue music as a career right now. During an appearance on Bunnie’s Dumb Blonde podcast at the end of 2024, Bailee shared her dream of attending Columbia University to study law.
“That’s where I wanna go, and I wanna study law,” she said at the time. “As for music, I don’t have any plans for it right now. I don’t know if I ever [will].”
Bailee “definitely” wants to become a criminal defense attorney, saying she wouldn’t “survive” working in civil court. She expressed an interest in narcotics cases, telling Bunnie, “I think it’s very complex. It’s very complex, morally and legally. There’s a lot of loopholes.“
No matter where life takes her, Bailee said, “…whatever field I get into, I’m ready to turn it upside down.”
Watch Bailee speak more about her future plans in the video below. Congratulations to her on her graduation AND her 18th birthday!
