Jelly Roll Says He Would Walk Away From Music If God Calls Him to Something Else
Jelly Roll has opened up about a possibility that could shock his fans: walking away from his music career completely.
The country star recently spoke about his future and said he would have no problem leaving music behind if he believes God is calling him toward something different.

Jelly Roll Says He Has Already Achieved His Dreams
During an interview with Kelly Sutton on Y’all Access Radio, Jelly Roll explained that he has already accomplished many of the goals he once had for his music career.
He pointed to his Grammy wins, ACM and CMA recognition, and his induction into the Grand Ole Opry.
In March 2026, Jelly Roll officially became an Opry member during the Grand Ole Opry’s centennial celebration.
Now, instead of focusing only on what comes next in music, he says he wants to seek God’s direction.
“Everything that Jason or Jelly Roll wanted to do in the music business, I’ve done now.”
He then explained that he needs to find out what God wants him to do next.

Jelly Roll took the idea even further by imagining a future completely outside music.
He said that if God told him to work at a homeless shelter in Paducah, Kentucky, he would simply leave the entertainment business.
“If God tells me to go work at a homeless shelter in Paducah, Kentucky, I’m out of here. Y’all will never see me again.”
His comments suggest that, for Jelly Roll, music is no longer the only measure of success.
He appears willing to follow whatever direction he believes is right, even if that means giving up one of the biggest careers in country music.
Jelly Roll Is Already Taking Time Away
The possibility of leaving music comes as Jelly Roll begins a significant break from performing.
In August, he told fans at a Salt Lake City concert that he was preparing to take a year or two away from touring so he could heal and take some time for himself.
He later completed his final scheduled show before beginning that break.
The decision follows an extremely busy period in his life.
In February, Jelly Roll won three Grammy Awards. He was also dealing with major changes in his personal life following his divorce from Bunnie XO.
Music Changed Jelly Roll’s Life
