Poison frontman Bret Michaels has been forced to put his tour on hold after undergoing emergency surgery for a complicated kidney stone.
The rock legend shared that doctors have instructed him to take several weeks away from the stage while he recovers from the procedure and regains his strength.
Doctors Order Bret Michaels to Rest
According to a statement from Michaels and his medical team, the singer recently underwent surgery after suffering from an obstructing kidney stone that required immediate treatment.
Doctors also placed a ureteral stent during the procedure and advised Michaels to avoid performing for the next three to four weeks due to his recovery and existing health conditions, including Type 1 diabetes and previous back issues.

As a result, several dates on Michaels’ Live & Amplified Tour will be postponed.
