Dutton Ranch Is Coming Soon On Paramount+
Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are getting ready to saddle up for another adventure in an upcoming Yellowstone spin-off, Dutton Ranch.
The series will follow Beth, Rip, and their “adopted son”, Carter, as they plant new roots in Texas. Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little have all returned to reprise their roles.
A lot remains to be learned about the series. But over the past few weeks, we’ve started hearing more from the cast and crew.
Yellowstone producer David Glasser told Entertainment Tonight that Dutton Ranch will show a more mature side of Beth and Rip’s relationship. But he promised there would still be plenty of drama, saying, “Just when you think we can’t turn it up a notch, we do.”
In early March, a new teaser for Dutton Ranch surfaced on the social media pages for the now-completed Yellowstone prequel series 1923. The post announced that the pages would be changing their names to promote Dutton Ranch instead.
Then, on March 13, Cole Hauser sent fans into a frenzy by sharing the first official poster for Dutton Ranch. He said, “Here… We… Go.”
We have since learned that the show will premiere on May 15, and its first teaser trailer has been released. Watch it below!
3 Things About Dutton Ranch That Will Appeal To Yellowstone Fans
We also have Dutton Ranch director Greg Yaitanes to thank for spilling the beans on what fans can expect from the Beth and Rip spin-off. During a recent conversation with Collider, he listed 3 reasons why he believes Yellowstone fans will love the show.
To start, Yaitanes says the new show is incredibly similar to its predecessor in terms of tone, calling it “more of a drama and a soap.” This is how it differs from another Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, which Yaitanes describes as “much more genre and guns-forward and those kinds of cool things.”
Secondly, Yaitanes says Dutton Ranch essentially continues where Yellowstone left off. “A lot of the people involved…really felt like they were making Yellowstone Season 6,” he remarked, adding that the show “has more continuity of crew from the original series.”
