“Well I was wrapping my head around bein’ a dad, a big wrench got thrown in the plans we thought we had,” he sang with Lauren by his side.
Lauren began rubbing her belly when he sang, “Now Lauren’s showing, got one on the way, that’s….five under 10, hey what can I say?”
She then pulled out ultrasound photos to confirm that they were expecting their fifth child!

The couple share older daughters Willa Gray (9), Ada James (7), Lennon Love (5), and Lillie Carolina (3) together.
Thomas and Lauren have shared openly about their path to becoming parents, and adopting Willa Gray was a pivotal and heartfelt moment for them. Thomas has often spoken about the powerful connection he felt when he first saw Lauren with Willa in Uganda — a moment that deeply moved him and helped solidify their decision to adopt.
Shortly after the announcement of their fifth baby, the Rhett’s shared they would be doing things a little different this time around. On September 17, Thomas and Lauren said they were waiting until birth to reveal the gender!
“Due date is in March and we are going to wait until the day of, man, to figure out what the gender is,” Rhett told Taste of Country Nights.
The singer said it was the first time the couple would be waiting until the baby was here to find out who they were.
“It’s terrifying for me, but there’s not many surprises left in this world, and I feel that’s one that you kinda get to be surprised with, if you choose to.”
The Rhett’s Welcome A Sweet Baby…
On Friday (February 27), Thomas and Lauren announced they have welcomed their sweet baby BOY!
Weighing nearly 10 pounds, Lauren shared that baby “Brave” was born almost two weeks early. She shared that Thomas was in the room to help deliver baby boy, and was in shock to announce that they were having their first boy after four girls!
“We are so grateful God chose us to have YOU cutie pie,” Lauren wrote. “Your four sisters are smitten and we are completely over the moon in love with you big Brave boy.”
