Wife Of ‘American Idol’ Contestant, Caleb Flynn, Killed In Home Invasion
An investigation is underway after Ashley Flynn was found deceased in her Ohio home after a reported burglary.
Ashley Flynn, a 37-year-old volleyball coach and teacher, was reportedly shot by an armed intruder while her husband and two children slept. Police responded to a call about a home burglary around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning (Feb. 16). When they arrived, they found Flynn deceased. Tipp City Police Chief Greg Adkins confirmed that she had died of a gunshot wound.
Local authorities have enlisted the FBI’s help as they search for a suspect and a motive. Few details are known about the case, but Adkins said that the public has no reason to be concerned for their safety based on what has been learned so far.
“It’s a targeted incident at that residence only,” he says. “There’s no information available to us right now that is pointing us to believe that the public’s in any danger. I don’t think it was just, you know, a random act of violence that occurred there.”
