John Anderson’s Family Makes Heartfelt Request Following His Death
John Anderson’s family has made a heartfelt request to fans following the country music legend’s death.
The Country Music Hall of Famer died on October 21 at the age of 71. Now, his loved ones are asking fans to honor his memory in a meaningful way.
Family Asks Fans to Donate Instead of Sending Flowers
On Monday, October 26, Anderson’s family shared a special request with his fans.
Rather than sending flowers, they are encouraging those who want to honor the singer to make a small donation in his memory.
The family specifically asked fans to support the Outdoor Fund through Bass Pro Shops. The fund supports conservation efforts and helps protect wildlife, lands, and waters.
The request reflects Anderson’s deep love for the outdoors.
“Your donation is a meaningful way to celebrate John’s life and keep his love for the outdoors alive,” his family said.
Fans can contribute to the Outdoor Fund by rounding up purchases at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s to the nearest dollar, either in stores or online.

John Anderson Had a Long Connection With Bass Pro Shops
Anderson’s connection to Bass Pro Shops went far beyond a simple partnership.
The country star worked closely with the company for many years and was recognized as its Conservation Partner of the Year in 2016.
His love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors was an important part of his life. Because of that, his family believes supporting conservation is a fitting way to remember him.

Since Anderson’s death, tributes have poured in from across the country music community.
Blake Shelton shared an especially emotional tribute after seeing Anderson at the Country Music Hall of Fame ceremony just days before his death.

John Anderson’s music will continue to live on through songs such as “Swingin’,” “Seminole Wind” and “Straight Tequila Night.”
But for his family, his greatest legacy is not only the music he created. It is also the love he gave to his family, friends and the things he cared about most.
And now, they hope his fans can help keep one of those passions alive by supporting conservation in his memory.
