Country music superstar Chris Stapleton is earning praise across the country after announcing that tickets for his upcoming Fourth of July concert will cost just $17.76 — a symbolic price chosen to honor the year the Declaration of Independence was signed.
The special America250 concert will take place on July 4 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as part of celebrations marking America’s 250th birthday. While a concert of this magnitude could easily command premium ticket prices, Stapleton chose a different path.
According to organizers, all proceeds from ticket sales, after fees, will be donated to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.
In addition, 5,000 complimentary tickets will be provided to veterans, active-duty military personnel, and first responders through VetTix, ensuring that those who have served their communities and country can attend the event free of charge.
The concert will also launch “Giving 4th,” a new national initiative designed to encourage Americans to make charitable giving a part of their Independence Day celebrations.
Many fans have praised Stapleton’s decision, noting that he could have charged significantly more for a Fourth of July headlining show in Los Angeles. Instead, he chose to make the event affordable, support those in need, and give back to the people who serve the country.
For many, the combination of live music, charitable giving, support for veterans, and a symbolic $17.76 ticket price represents the spirit of Independence Day at its best.
