Kendrick Perkins Claims Michael Jordan Cut Off His Free Jordans After Calling LeBron the GOAT

Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins revealed that Michael Jordan allegedly stopped sending him free Jordans after he declared LeBron James as the greatest of all time.

During an appearance on First Take, Perkins recounted how he was once signed to Jordan Brand and regularly received exclusive sneakers even after his playing days. However, that all changed once he publicly crowned LeBron as the GOAT.

“Michael Jordan is petty as hell too. If you go in my closet, it’s nothing but J’s. I was signed to Jordan for about two years when I was playing. I wore J’s throughout my time in Oklahoma City. After that, I used to get boxes in the mail all the time of J’s before they even hit the stores,” Perkins said. “As soon as I said that LeBron James was the GOAT, those boxes stopped coming.”

The debate over the NBA’s greatest player has long been a heated one, with fans and analysts split between Jordan’s dominance in the 1990s and LeBron’s sustained excellence over two decades. Perkins’ claim adds a new layer to the discussion, suggesting that Jordan himself isn’t too fond of being dethroned—even in opinion.

What do you think? Did MJ take it personally, or is it just a coincidence?
