The Texas Songwriters Hall Of Fame Announces The 2026 Inductees

In August, the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame announced the four celebrated songwriters who would be inducted as the class of 2026. The honorees included George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Don Cook, and Keith Gattis.

The Hall of Fame devotes itself to “honoring and celebrating Texas songwriters who have played an important role in defining and interpreting Texas’ distinctive culture.”

The four Texas natives would join countless prestigious songwriters before them, including Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Clint Black, Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, and more.

The following day, Miranda Lambert shared her gratitude online. She wrote:

“Last night was one I will never forget as long as I live. Being inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame along with King George, Keith Gattis, and Don Cook was the biggest honor I could ever dream of.”

The “Postcards From Texas” singer went on to thank the artists who performed songs in her honor and record producer Frank Liddell for delivering the “most heartfelt” speech. She added:
