Morgan Wallen’s “Sand in My Boots” Festival Set to Return in 2027
Morgan Wallen’s “Sand in My Boots” Festival is reportedly making its return to Gulf Shores, Alabama, in 2027 after taking a year off.
The festival became one of the biggest new country music events when it debuted in 2025, selling out quickly and bringing together major names from country, rock, hip-hop and more.
Sand in My Boots Is Coming Back
The “Sand in My Boots” Festival is expected to return to Gulf Shores in May 2027.
The festival’s official social media accounts announced that the event would be returning to Gulf Shores, although exact dates and the full lineup have not yet been revealed.
The announcement comes after the festival took 2026 off, leaving many fans wondering whether the event would return at all.
Now, it appears the popular festival is ready for another run.
The 2025 Festival Was a Huge Success
The first “Sand in My Boots” Festival took place in May 2025.
Morgan Wallen curated a diverse lineup that included Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, HARDY, Riley Green, Wiz Khalifa, T-Pain, Chase Rice, 49 Winchester and Three 6 Mafia.
The event stood out because it was not limited to country music. Wallen brought together artists from several genres, creating a festival designed to appeal to a much wider audience.
The first festival also sold out extremely quickly, showing just how much interest there was in Wallen’s new festival concept. Some reports say around 40,000 tickets sold in roughly an hour and a half.

Why Was the Festival Canceled in 2026?
Despite the success of the first event, “Sand in My Boots” did not return in 2026.
Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft previously explained that organizers had waited too long to secure the level of talent the city wanted for the event.
That led to the 2026 cancellation, but city officials left the door open for a future return.
Now, after the one-year break, the festival appears to be coming back stronger.
The 2027 Lineup Remains a Mystery
For now, fans will have to wait for the biggest announcement: the lineup.
Organizers have not revealed which artists will perform in 2027. However, multiple reports indicate that the lineup is expected to be announced in November.
One of the biggest questions is whether Morgan Wallen himself will headline the festival again.
Since the festival was created around Wallen and takes its name from one of his songs, fans will certainly be watching for confirmation.
But for now, his appearance has not been officially confirmed.
Morgan Wallen Fans Have a Lot to Look Forward To
The return of “Sand in My Boots” gives country music fans another major festival to look forward to in 2027.
The 2025 edition proved that there is a huge audience for Wallen’s unique mix of country and other genres.
Now the big question is simple: Who will Morgan Wallen bring to Gulf Shores next year?
The lineup announcement in November could give fans their first major look at what promises to be another massive weekend on the Alabama coast.
