Kid Rock Releases New Christian Song With a Personal Message
Kid Rock has started a new chapter in his music career with a brand-new Christian song.
The singer has released “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)”, a song that reflects his faith and has a very personal meaning.
Kid Rock Releases “James 1:17”
The new song arrived on October 1, 2026. It is the first song from Kid Rock’s upcoming Christian album, “Halfway 2 Jesus.”
The album is set for release on October 17.
With this new song, Kid Rock brings his rock sound together with a strong message about faith and Jesus.
The singer has talked about his faith in recent months. Now, he is using his music to share more of that journey with his fans.
The Song Has a Special Meaning
There is a personal story behind the title.
Kid Rock’s middle name is James. His birthday is also January 17.
That connection led him to James 1:17 from the Bible. The verse talks about every good and perfect gift coming from above.
For Kid Rock, the verse became an important part of his new music.
As a result, he decided to use it as the title of his first Christian song from the upcoming album.
Kid Rock Wrote the Song in the Middle of the Night
The story behind the song is just as interesting.
Kid Rock said the idea came to him around 2 a.m. one morning.
Instead of going back to sleep, he started writing.
In about 30 minutes, he had written the song.
That late-night moment eventually became “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King).”
Now, fans can hear the result as Kid Rock begins a new musical chapter.
His Christian Music Journey Is Growing
This is not the first time Kid Rock has brought his faith into his music.
Earlier this year, he released his version of Cody Johnson’s “’Til You Can’t” with new Christian-themed lyrics.
The song later reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.
It also reached No. 14 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Because of that success, Kid Rock has continued to explore Christian music.
His new album will mix several sounds. Rock, country and hip-hop will all remain part of his style.
However, faith will be at the center of the new project.
“Halfway 2 Jesus” Is Coming Soon
Kid Rock’s upcoming album could mark a new phase in his long career.
For years, he has moved between rock, rap and country music. Now, he is adding a stronger Christian focus to his work.
“James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)” gives fans the first full look at that direction.
Meanwhile, “Halfway 2 Jesus” is scheduled to arrive on October 17.
For Kid Rock, the new project is more than another album. It is a way to share an important part of his life through music.
