Tyler Farr recently gave his fans a scare when it was announced that he had been involved in an accident on his farm.
On June 13th, the Goshen Stampede in Goshen, Connecticut, announced that Farr would no longer be able to perform at their event that day. Their statement read:
“Due to a motor vehicle accident on his farm, Tyler Farr was taken to a local hospital and diagnosed with a severe concussion…we appreciate everyone’s understanding and will share additional event information as it becomes available. We wish Tyler a speedy recovery.”
The Stampede said David Foster and the All Stars would be stepping in to take Farr’s place at the event.

Following the announcement, fans were understandably concerned about Farr’s health and well-being. A long-awaited update finally came from Farr himself on Wednesday, June 17th.
In a brief video he shared on social media, Farr thanked his followers for all of their support, kind messages, and prayers. He confirmed he had been hospitalized for a concussion, saying he had been “unresponsive for about two minutes.”
Farr explained what led to the accident: he was riding on the truck’s tailgate while his friend drove. “It was an accident, it was nobody’s fault,” he emphasized, before continuing:
“…it was just kind of a freak deal, pothole, riding on the tailgate, I was in the middle, had nothing to hold on to…What I was told, that’s what happened.”
Then, Farr shared some good news. He is feeling well enough to fly out to California, where he’ll perform at the Boots & Brews festival in Morgan Hill on June 20th.
Farr ended his video by saying, “I love country music. I’ll keep singing it until they put me in the ground.“
