Indiana Fever Welcomes Wynonna Judd To Their Home Court For National Anthem Performance During WNBA Playoffs

Country music icon Wynonna Judd delivered a powerful rendition of the National Anthem during the WNBA playoffs on Tuesday evening (September 16).

The “No One Else On Earth” singer performed before the Round 1, Game 2 matchup between the Atlanta Dream and the Indiana Fever. She was joined by her husband, Cactus Moser, who’s a drummer and producer.

The Fever welcomed the couple to their home court, saying:

Wynonna is a huge fan of the Indiana Fever and their star player, Catlin Clark (who has been unable to partake in the playoffs due to injury). In July, Wynonna shared a photo of herself rocking a Fever shirt and wrote:

“2 shows left before I get to show up & support MY GIRLSSS @indianafever this Sunday! I AM SO JACKED!!!!!!!! (if you need me I’ll be on the bus wearing my blinged out @caitlinclark22 shirt all weekend).”

She also met with some of the players, including Catlin Clark, after their game on July 27.

Needless to say, Wynonna was honored to sing the National Anthem for the Fever’s playoff game on September 16.

Cactus accompanied Wynonna on the snare drum, providing a steady, consistent rhythm for her performance. Wynonna sang in the lower end of her range for a large portion of the song, before allowing her voice to soar near the end.

Fans who watched the performance on Facebook complimented the couple’s patriotic performance, leaving comments such as:

“Well done Wynonna. Beautifully done.”

“Awesome!! Gave me chills!! We live in the greatest nation!!!”

“What a beautiful, dignified presentation of our beloved national anthem! Well done!”

“Truly touched my heart, what a performance.”

“That is how it is sung!”

Wynonna And Cactus Previously Performed The Anthem At The Kentucky Derby

One year before their performance during the WNBA playoffs, Wynonna Judd and Cactus Moser performed the National Anthem at the 2024 Kentucky Derby.

For Wynonna, who was born in Kentucky, it was a dream-come-true opportunity to sing the Anthem at Churchill Downs.

“Kentucky, I’m coming HOME! Couldn’t be more excited to announce I’ll be performing the national anthem at this year’s 150th @kentuckyderby,” Wynonna wrote on social media before the big race. “From going to the racetrack as a little girl to now singing the Star-Spangled Banner during this MILESTONE year, it’s such a full circle moment.”
