Pat Green Mourns The Loss Of Family In The Aftermath Of Texas Floods
People across Texas are grieving the loss of loved ones after devastating floods recently washed through six counties. Over 130 people have been reported dead from the tragedy.
Country star Pat Green recently shared that his own family was among those affected.
In a statement shared on his social media last week, Green revealed that he and his family were going through a “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss” in the aftermath of the Texas floods.
“Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family,” he wrote. “Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion.”
It was later confirmed that his younger brother John, John’s wife, and their two children were swept away by the rising waters.

Although Green’s family is one of the many suffering losses during this difficult time, he’s choosing to help others.
On Tuesday, July 15, Pat Green announced he will host a virtual benefit concert to support flood relief efforts.
The concert will be livestreamed from the Texas Rangers’ stadium in Arlington. It will be free to watch, with no tickets required.
According to a press release, there will be no live audience. However, special guest artists will perform and appear throughout the event.
The benefit concert is set to take place tonight, Wednesday, July 16, starting at 6:30 pm CT.
Proceeds from the livestream will go toward Kerr County Relief, TEXSAR, and the Do It For Durrett Foundation, all distributed through the Pat Green Foundation.
