Country Singer Cole Swindell’s Wife Gives Birth To Their First Child
Cole Swindell and his wife, Courtney, announced on Friday (August 8) that their first child, a daughter, was born on August 7, 2025.
“Rainey Gail Swindell 8.7.25 our greatest blessing,” their joint Instagram post read announcing her birth.
They also shared Baby Rainey’s first photo, which was of her in an all white outfit with matching white booties and a bit white bow. She is laying in a bassinet draped with a white muslin blanket with a wooden placard that says, “Hello world my name is Rainey.”
Cole and Courtney announced their exciting pregnancy news on March 3, 2025 with several black and white photos of them posing near a clothesline filled with precious baby clothes.
Just a few days later, the couple revealed they were expecting a baby girl!
Cole’s Daughter Has A Meaningful Name
Swindell has sadly lost both of his parents, but he always takes the time to honor their memory any chance he gets.
In December 2015, Swindell released his emotional song “You Should Be Here,” and the music video featured footage of the country singer calling his dad, William Keith Swindell, to tell him he signed a record deal on July 13, 2013. His father unexpectedly passed away just two months later.
He also left a seat at his 2024 wedding just for his dad.
Cole lost his beloved mom on September 13, 2021. He announced her passing on his Instagram Story writing, “Took this on the flight home to Georgia this afternoon. Lost my sweet Mom today. I know she’s up there. Gonna miss her so much. Love y’all.”
The Story included a photo Cole took from the plane of the Sun beaming through clouds.
Since he wrote a song for his dad, it was only fitting he wrote one for his mom, too. He included “Heads Up Heaven” written for his mom, on his latest album, Spanish Moss.
Cole honored his mom in one of the most meaningful ways possible – by naming his daughter. Rainey Gail, after her. Cole’s mom’s name was Carol Rainey Swindell, making his daughter’s name his mom’s maiden name.
We know she is beaming with pride from Heaven and already so in love with her granddaughter.
