Lauren Alaina Shares Some Encouragement For Anyone Who Has Been “Mean” To Themselves Over Their Body
Country star Lauren Alaina has a message for anyone who has ever been negative towards themselves and their weight.
The singer and new mom opened up on TikTok, hoping to give encouragement to those feeling defeated about how they look.
“This is for anyone who has ever said a mean word to themselves in the mirror,” Alaina wrote in the caption of the video. “Our bodies are strong!!”
Alaina said having a baby girl taught her the importance of being kind to yourself and the way you were made.
“I will say having a little girl, and looking at how beautiful and perfect she is, the things I’ve said to myself about my body in my life, hurt my feelings for myself, for her,” she continued.

The Country Star Trains For A 10k Just 10 Weeks Postpartum
On Saturday, September 6, Alaina posted a video to her Instagram, letting fans know that she’s training to run a 10k.
“I am training for a 10k. I started training at 10 weeks postpartum, 10k at 10 weeks,” she said in the video. “I figured you’d like to follow along on my journey, see if I actually do it,” she added.
“I downloaded an app that helps me go from zero running to running about six miles,” she explained. “I started a couple of weeks ago, and then I thought maybe you’d all like to hear about it, so I’m going to take you all on my run with me today.”
In the video, she explained that her training was interrupted because baby Beni Doll wouldn’t take a nap.
“My mom just called and the baby won’t nap and she thinks she’s hungry, so I’m going to go nurse her,” the singer said.
Alaina didn’t let that stop her from training, though. About five hours later, she was back out to finish her run.
Alaina admits she is adjusting to a new normal as she learns to balance her career and motherhood.
The singer took to social media to share about her recent experience going back on the road with little Beni. It seems all of her worries have been eased and life is going better than expected with her new tour sidekick.
“I was so overwhelmed with the thought of going back on the road after having my daughter. I was scared. I was excited. I was dreading it. I couldn’t wait. Our newest member of the band is making our shows even better than before.”
Alaina previously shared that she was nervous about taking little Beni on the road so young.
“I’m super freaked out to be leaving our home … and taking her on the road. I had no idea the world of being a mom,” she said.
The country star gushed over how much she loved being a mommy and chasing her dreams of being a performer.
“I’m so proud to show my daughter that we can do anything our heart desires. I can be a momma and chase my dreams. Thank you to everyone who showed up and reminded me how much I love this dream of mine. It felt so good to be back. ”
