Randy Couture Was Airlifted To A Burn Center In Kansas City On Tuesday (July 8)
UFC legend Randy Couture was involved in a serious crash while practicing for his National Hot Rod Association debut, which was set to take place in June 2025.
On April 15th, Couture was announced as a new member of the Scag Racing team, driving as part of the Pro Mod program.
The car that Scag Racing put him in is a 1937 Chevy, according to their Instagram post on May 16.
He was supposed to make his debut in Richmond on the weekend of June 20-22, but he delayed it due to wanting to practice more and just not because he wanted to practice more and did not feel completely comfortable behind the wheel.
In the Instagram video, he mentioned he hoped to see everyone in Indiana, and according to the NHRA website, the next race in Indiana is in August.
While practicing for his debut on Tuesday (July 8), Couture crashed his vehicle and sustained “serious injuries,” according to TMZ Sports.
He was airlifted to a burn center in Kansas City with first and second-degree burns, as well as smoke inhalation, and trauma injuries.
